DEDICATED ICE, ICE, BABY! Our club was recently featured in an OPB story (click to read) about our journey to creating a curling-only facility in Central Oregon. If you have discovered curling this winter by watching the Olympics, you're not alone. Every 4 years our sport sees a tremendous increase in the number of people who watch and then want to play this amazing sport, so if you are among these multitudes, we have some news for you. You may have noticed that all of our Learn to Curl events for the remainder of the curling season are now full with wait lists (more info about that below), so to accommodate an ever-growing number of future curling enthusiasts in Central Oregon, we are in the process of obtaining enough donations, loans and grants to create a curling facility in Central Oregon. In curling, such a facility is called dedicated ice as it's sole purpose is for curling. Currently we have over $712,000 in pledged donations ($900K is needed to get the project started, and at $1.2M we will be prepared to start operations). We are looking for a building in the next 4-6 months that will suit us so we can begin renovations as early as this fall. More information about this exciting project can be found by hovering on the 'Our Club' tab above and selecting the Dedicated Curling Ice Facility web page. You can also give to this project by using our online Pledge Form (we will be collecting donations beginning in early May).
Dedicated ice information meeting: We will be gathering at Bevel Brewing on Saturday, March 7 from 6:00-7:30pm to discuss our progress with creating a dedicated ice facility. Please plan on joining us to hear more about this exciting adventure!
LEARN TO CURL: Note: Registration for our all of our 2026 Winter session Learn to Curls (Jan-March) is now full with a wait list for the remainder of the curling season.
OLYMPIC LEARN TO CURLS: We gathered 32 people together on Valentine's Day and taught them all how to curl! We hope they enjoyed the experience, and we'll be doing it again on Saturday, Feb 21.
HOW TO CURL IN A LEAGUE WITH BCC: For the first time in club history, all 3 Winter Session (January-March) leagues are full. Please check back in with us in September for the 2026-27 league season.
